Pro Tip: A right to left sloping fairway means this hole favors left to right ball flight all the way to the green. Once the ball hits the fairway it will always roll to the left side - more so in summer. For your shot into the green use the right side of the green to your advantage as the ball will roll to the middle.

Expert Advice
Our advisers, Mark Richardson and Scott Ellis work closely with the club and are available to chat about investment, retirement planning, or simply to answer questions over a coffee or round of golf. It’s about providing guidance that fits your lifestyle and goals — so you can spend more time doing what you love.

Together, Mark and Scott combine their professional expertise with a down-to-earth approach, working closely to understand what matters most to their clients. They take pride in building long-term relationships, helping people make confident financial decisions while enjoying the balance of sport, family, and community along the way.

Mark Richardson joined Forsyth Barr in 2023 after a career that spanned professional sport, television, and radio. Having been a Forsyth Barr client himself during his playing days, he’s thrilled to now be on the other side of the table, helping clients with their own financial journeys. Mark is a qualified financial adviser and NZX Adviser, with a Commerce degree from the University of Otago.
Away from the office, Mark’s lifelong love of sport shines through. He became a junior member of the Remuera Golf Club at just 13, playing regularly with his father, and the game has remained a constant passion ever since.

Scott Ellis also comes from a sporting background, having played as a contracted cricketer in the UK before turning his focus to financial advice. With 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry, including nine as a financial adviser, and a degree in Business majoring in Economics and Management, Scott combines technical knowledge with a practical, approachable style as a registered financial adviser and NZX Adviser.

These days, Scott’s main sporting outlet is golf, though his time on the course is increasingly shared with his two young sons as they start their own sporting adventures.
