Changes to the Golf Committee
The Board wishes to convene a Special General Meeting to be held on Thursday the 29th of July 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Clubhouse lounge.
Background
The golf committee is the vehicle that the Club Captain uses to help manage the golfing activities of the Club.
The core nucleus comprises the three captains of the golf club.
• Club Captain
• Club Vice Captain
• Women's Captain.
These people are elected annually at the AGM and have specific roles in addition to their Golf Committee responsibilities. They are currently supported by the Club's Golf Manager (a member of staff) and three other elected members.
The Board is proposing a change to the election of the ‘other' committee members. Instead of electing three other people to the committee it is now proposed that we ‘second' the extra members required. In this manner we can target our members for specific duties, skills or projects.
In order to achieve this, the following changes are required to the Constitution.
