Joining Akarana
The Club welcomes applications for the many different categories we currently offer. Our popularity is due to the central location of the Course, Club facilities, the Course itself and most importantly, the friendly and social atmosphere.
New members are considered based on their ability to add to the spirit and social texture of the Club as well as their previous golfing experience. Akarana prides itself on its contribution to the community and in particular our pro-active approach to Junior golf. Most junior members are accepted straight into the Club if they have some golf experience or have embarked on a series of lessons.
When applying for membership we ask that you complete an application form outlineing your previous golfing experience, previous Clubs and occupation. This forms a major part of the criteria for choosing new members. You will also be asked for proof of New Zealand Citizenship or NZ Permanent Residence and for recommendations from existing members of Akarana Golf Club Inc. Once completed you need to bring this form to the Club and lodge it with the Administration Office. Applications to include the joining fee please.

Full Playing Members
Playing Priviledges
7 days per week including public holidays
Bookings may be made up to 7 days in advance.
Joining Fee: $500
Annual Subscription: $1575
Weekday Members
Playing Priviledges
Monday to Friday excluding public holidays
Bookings may be made up to 7 days in advance.
Joining Fee: $250
Annual Subscription: $1275
Veteran Members
To become a veteran member at Akarana you must have been a full playing member for 25 years and be aged over 65.
Student Members
Playing Priviledges
7 days per week excluding public holidays. Bookings may be made up to 7 days in advance.
Conditions
You must be aged between 20 and 25 years of age.
You must provide formal documentation that you are enrolled in a full time study course.
Entry into Saturday fields is by invitation only.
Annual Subscription: $500
Social Playing Members
Playing Priviledges
Unlimited social play after 3pm Sunday to Friday.
Social Playing Members can play before 3pm on payment of an additional green fee.
$20 (Monday to Friday)
$30 (Sunday)
Conditions
No competition play allowed.
No ‘hole in one' insurance cover (sorry you'll have to take care of that yourself).
Annual Subscription: $615
9 Hole Members
Playing Priviledges
9 hole play Limited to Monday: All Day, Tuesday: All Day, Thursday: Until 12 noon, Friday: 8.24am to 8.42am from the 10th tee only, Sunday: after 3.30pm.
Conditions
Only one nine hole game is permitted per day.
Joining Fee: $250
Annual Subscription: $615
Social Members
Playing Priviledges
No play on the course is allowed unless a daily green fee is paid. Social members pay the equivalent of the affiliated daily fee. Social members have full use of the Clubhouse area only.
Annual Subscription: $60
Junior Members (under 20)
Playing Priviledges
Coaching from 8.30am Sundays then play from at 9am
All other days after 3.30pm or at the discretion of the Golf Manager
Bookings may be made the day before play only.
